Fancy Feet

Nathan had a soccer game down in Colorado Springs, Colorado this past weekend. I've put together a few highlights from the game just because the kid is so impressive. If I tried to do some of the stuff he does I'm sure I would trip over myself. The things he can do with his feet are pretty amazing, but I'm more impressed by just how creative he is while also getting some exercise. After watching him I can see why they call soccer (futbol) the beautiful game!

Almost Halloween?

I can't stand it when I see stores putting up holiday displays months before the actual holiday. But..... going to costco this weekend got me in the mood for Halloween! I think this is almost my favorite holiday. No presents, no pressure, no cooking fancy dinners. Just fun food and lots of candy and fun late into the night going trick or treating. Working as a preschool teacher requires me to dress up for halloween. So I have a lot of dress up clothes in my halloween trunk. I'm not sure what I'll be this year but I know for sure what Leo is going to be. And lets just say he wasn't really happy about getting into his costume.
Leo makes a great super dog...
So Nate found this costume that we think he wore in Preschool or Kindergarten. He somehow squeezed into it. It was hilarious to see him in it. He is seriously considering wearing it for Halloween. So if you came to my house and see the decorations for halloween don't say anything, I know it's too early but I just couldn't help it.

Football

Austin started football season. Here he is at his first game. Can you tell who he is?

First Day Of School

Austin and Nathan started school a few weeks ago. I have to say that I had a harder time letting them go than they had going. They love school!
Austin really loves high school. He likes having an open campus. He goes out to eat with friends. He has release time for seminary. Which is great because no one has to wake up early. Austin thinks it's great he's able to chew gum and listen to his Ipod and talk on his phone in between classes. He's playing football and basketball . And he is getting great grades. Almost straight A's !Nathan is still a happy guy and loves hanging out with his friends. He is also loving school. He is taking advanced classes (A.J. too) and that gives us a daily challenge with homework. (Brian never thought he'd be doing 7th and 9th grade math all over again) Nate is also playing classic soccer, which takes up about 3 nights of our week, but we love it.
Here is Leo on the first day of school. I don't think he really knew how much his life was going to change and he didn't understand why he couldn't go with the boys. Life is hard as a dog
