Another Spring Snow Dumpfest

Last night's rain turned to heavy, chunky snow by this morning and is now coming down consistently. The problem with this snow is that it is very heavy for the tree branches. Good thing we have 2 sons that can be used for snow removal. ; )

I've been meaning to post some of our pictures from the fun aftermath of our last spring snow storm, and today's storm has reminded me to do so. On the sunny days after that last snow storm we made our way up to Boulder for some sledding and snowboarding:

One of the reasons we enjoy calling Colorado home.

It is hard to get pictures of Austin (you've got to time it just right), but this is a great one.

Snowboarding and Sledding

Just had a good ride...

...now we have to hike back up!

It gets hot.

Once Nate got to the top he decided to cool off a bit in the snow.

We next headed over to a steeper part of the hill.

Here is Nate recapping a wild ride!!

Backyard Snowboarding

The recent blizzard left a lot of snow in the backyard useful for building snowboard drops. Nathan took the opportunity to practice his emerging skills as a snowboarder. Here is a video of his 1st attempt:

The local ski resorts could save a lot of money on chair lifts if they just hire Austin.

Another attempt:

It looked like fun, but the boys decided to head for the park in order to prevent any further damage to the board by the rocks. (Probably also to save Austin's back!)
