Memorial day

We went for a hike in Golden for memorial day.  It was fun.  We took the boys and the dogs.  It was great to get out and breathe in the mountain air!

Look who decided they were too tired to keep walking!  Buck got a ride in Brian's arms.  While we were walking down the hill he would stop and lay down in any shade he spotted.  Eventually he just wouldn't walk any more.  Good thing he was still little and too cute to make walk.

At the end of the hike there was the Colorado river.  It was nice to put our feet in.  Buck and Leo liked getting in and getting cooled off.

End of soccer season

Nate's soccer team ended a great season coming in third in their league out of 20 teams.  He has played club soccer with this team for the last two and half years. It is sad that he isn't going to play soccer with these guys anymore.  Once you go to high school you stay with your high school team and play club with them. Now Nate will be playing against his former team mates. Coach Pablo was great with the boys.  He would drive 45 minutes each way to Broomfield to coach our kids.  Nate is a great soccer player.  I love to watch him play! He is really fast and can stop the ball in mid air!  That is one of my favorite moves that he does.

Nate is #10

Team photo and of course we had to take a silly photo!

Austins' 16th Birthday!!!

Austin turned 16 this year.  It seems like the years are going by too quickly.  He is a Junior this year and he is driving! Yikes! It was scary to drive with him at first but now he has gotten to be a pretty good driver.  He even drove his grandma to dinner while we visited her in St.George.  She survived!
Austin has two jobs. He is a lifeguardd at the rec centers and outdoor water park and he works at the concession stands at the ball park.  He is super busy.  When he isn't working he can be found at  basketball camp or with friends. I think 16 is going to be a great year for him!

This is Buck, Austin's Birthday present. Buck is a Siberian Husky. In this picture he is 8 weeks old.
Austin says it is his favorite birthday present ever!

Buck was so tiny when we go him.  He is now 30 pounds!

Austin requested Strawberry Pizza as his birthday cake! Yum!

Austin didn't see me come into the pool.  So I started to take pictures.  In the top picture I think he noticed I was there.  He shook his head at me once he saw me.  I gotta have pictures of him as a lifeguard,  right?!

MVP

Austin had a great basketball season at his high school.  He played on the JV team and would swing up to varsity for part of the season. I love to watch Austin play Basketball.  Here are some pictures from his season and from the end of season banquet.  He was voted MVP of the team!

Austin and a Friend getting razzed by a graduating senior.  It was all in good fun.

Washington, D.C.

Brian went on a business trip to Washington D.C. We loved looking at all of the pictures he took.  We wish we could have gone with him. One day maybe we could go there on a vacation.

Catching up!

I am going to attempt to update our blog.  It has been months since we've had a decent post with pictures.  We've been so busy since the end of the school year. I'll start with this photo of Nate and I setting Brian's birthday cake on fire!

Brian loves ice cream cake! If you can read the candles then you know how old he is!

Yum!
