Snow Day(s)!!!

Well, we go from "A Day At The Beach" (previous post) to a couple of SNOW DAYS! If it wasn't nice enough to have the three day weekend due to the MLK Jr. holiday, then you can add two more days on (5-day weekend?! Really?!) due to a snowstorm that blew through the Portland metro area that Monday night. The storm caused icy roads and left us all home for some added vacation time. It was heaven! Like driving through the clouds. Or watching a waterfall. You get the picture.
We put on all of the gear and took off to the highest hill within walking distance with our sleds. The boys and their friends sled down the hill and then on the way home Austin found $10 in the snow. (Almost as good as the $100 bill he found outside of that restaurant in Lodi - Mike remembers that one...). Anyway, it wasn't long before a plan was hatched to spend the money ASAP. The prime target was the dollar store around the corner, but that, and many other businesses, were unable to open due to the weather. So, leave it to McDonald's to be open and lure us inside. Austin was generous enough to split the money up evenly between his Dad, Mom, Brother, and friend (Sam). That made it $2 each. Good thing McDonald's has that dollar menu!
After consuming all of those triglycerides and trans-fatty acids what else could we do but sled home?
